Programme 01 · Access to Care

Reopening a care pathway when local options are out of reach

We document the situation, identify the capacities that can act and coordinate the next achievable medical step.

Why we act

No single actor can resolve a complex medical pathway alone

A medical need does not automatically become a pathway. Information must be made usable, responsibilities clarified and a genuinely available care capacity identified.

Human Sea Bridge connects the person concerned, healthcare professionals, hospitals, humanitarian partners and institutions—without taking anyone’s place.

Document · connect · coordinate

Our role

Four actions make the next step possible

Every pathway is tailored to the situation, but the same discipline guides our decisions.

01

Document

Structure the medical, administrative and family information needed for review.

02

Verify

Assess urgency, feasibility, consent and the capacities genuinely available.

03

Coordinate

Bring together families, professionals, hospitals, partners and institutions.

04

Facilitate

Organise a realistic next step and maintain a documented follow-up.

A responsible framework

Clear criteria, transparent limits

We can coordinate when the need is documented, the information is sufficient and an achievable capacity can be explored.

We cannot guarantee an evacuation, visa, admission or treatment decision that belongs to a hospital or public authority.

We protect confidentiality, consent and the dignity of every person concerned.

Open a care pathway

Report a situation or offer medical capacity

Patient, family, healthcare professional, hospital or partner organisation: describe the situation or the capacity you can mobilise.

Frequently asked questions about support

Can Human Sea Bridge guarantee an evacuation or visa?

No. Evacuation, visa, admission and treatment decisions belong exclusively to the competent authorities, facilities and official mechanisms. We document the situation and coordinate relevant contacts.

Which situations can be reviewed?

A situation must involve a genuine disruption of access to care, a documented medical need, verifiable information, the person’s consent and a realistic possibility of support.

How can a situation be reported?

Use the contact page for an initial request. Do not send a complete medical file through a public form: the team will explain which strictly necessary information is required and which secure channel to use.
